The countdown has begun for Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series, which is set to launch early next year. Leaks so far suggest that all models in the series will largely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The latest developments, however, reveal that Samsung has made a critical decision regarding RAM for the new lineup.

Earlier this year, the Galaxy S24 series debuted with 8 GB of RAM as the base configuration for the standard and Plus models. However, the new Galaxy S25 models are expected to start with 12 GB of RAM. Despite this upgrade, the South Korean manufacturer reportedly plans to keep the prices unchanged.

To elaborate, even though the base RAM capacity of these smartphones will increase, they are still expected to launch at $799, $999, and $1,299, respectively. Additionally, no changes are anticipated for storage options. The standard model is likely to start with 128 GB, while the Plus and Ultra models are expected to begin at 256 GB.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 recently appeared in performance tests, achieving 2,481 points in single-core and 8,658 points in multi-core tests. This also confirmed several technical specifications.

The Galaxy S25 prototype tested on Geekbench was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor (Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy), as previously mentioned. Furthermore, consistent with recent leaks, it is confirmed to feature 12 GB of RAM.
